Dù đã có một phiên tăng vào cuối ngày hôm qua 1/7, thì kết thúc ngày giao dịch cuối cùng của Quý II/2021, giá vàng vẫn mất tới 184 USD/ounce (gần 10%) so với ngày đầu tiên của năm. Áp lực lạm phát chắc chắn được duy trì và không phải là tạm thời, đây là một trong những yếu tố chính tác động lên giá vàng tương lai.

Cập nhật giá vàng hôm nay 2/7
Ngày đầu tiên của tháng 7, giá vàng lấy lại đà tăng, mặc dù mức tăng chỉ mới mang yếu tố duy trì. Giá vàng tăng trở lại vì lo ngại về biến thể dễ lây nhiễm Delta của virus gây bệnh Covid-19 có thể thúc đẩy nhu cầu đối với tài sản an toàn, khi các ca lây nhiễm dịch bệnh đang có xu hướng tăng trở lại ở nhiều châu lục. Nói cách khác, sự lây lan của biến thể Delta trên toàn cầu đang hỗ trợ giá vàng.
Ngoài ra, theo các phân tích, giá vàng thế giới tăng nhẹ là do lực mua vào tăng nhanh sau khi vàng rớt xuống mức thấp nhất 2,5 tháng qua. Lợi tức trái phiếu kho bạc Mỹ giảm và USD ngừng tăng giá cũng hỗ trợ tích cực cho giá vàng.
Tuy nhiên, mức tăng của vàng vẫn đang bị hạn chế do tâm lý lo ngại của nhà đầu tư khi tại cuộc họp chính sách tháng 6 cách đây nửa tháng, Fed cho biết, có thể sẽ có hai đợt tăng lãi suất trước khi kết thúc năm 2023, sớm hơn một năm so với dự kiến trước đó.
Lãi suất tăng chính là "khắc tinh" của giá vàng và nhà đầu tư sẽ nhanh chóng rời khỏi hầm trú ẩn để chuyển vốn sang các kênh đầu tư khác như chứng khoán, tiền ảo. Việc Fed tăng lãi suất sẽ làm tăng chi phí cơ hội của việc nắm giữ tài sản không sinh lời như vàng, theo đó làm giảm sức hấp dẫn của kim loại quý, theo Reuters.
Ghi nhận của TG&VN vào 0h50 ngày 2/7, giá vàng thế giới trên sàn giao dịch Kitco đang có một phiên tăng 0,24% (tương đương 4,2 USD) so với phiên liền trước, giao dịch tại 1.775,4 USD/ounce.
